The Roberts Creek Community Association is proud to present the Hip Hop Mecanix at the Roberts Creek Community Hall!
Fresh hip hop that rocks the spot with a golden era and "true school" sound, the Mecanix' classic boom bap vibes mixed with a strong lyrical flow offers a killer balance of yesterday and today.

Their new album ‘Modified’ is the answer to their “true school” style and approach to Hip Hop, as they seamlessly combine the best of yesterday and today's hip hop in daring fashion. ‘Modified’ exemplifies the definition: "to make minor changes, to customize or improve something". The album captures the energy and elements of classic hip hop creating the 'True School' modified sound.
Produced by Hip Hop Mecanix the album was recorded with Kent Stephany AKA DJ K Rec at Sound City with pre-production done at Gastown Sound. Mastering by Greg Stuntman at Suite Sound Labs and vinyl pressing by Clamp Down Records in Vancouver.
From 'Let Me Show You' to 'Day after' the album is concise and engaging. The 11-track album features a song titled 'Been Away' with Canadian blues legend Harpdog Brown on the harp plus three tracks with renowned beat producer Steps Necessary, ‘Time Travelling’, ‘Classic’ and the hard-hitting title track ‘Modified’.
